A lot has been happening this week, and the only worst part is that I am sick. I might be getting better - I dont have the chills as bad as the other day, but feel crappy and have an annoying cough.

I finally got my appliances, but there is anyways something that is wrong or something has happened. I got a fridge, stove, washer, and dryer.

I need to give thanks to: my brother (for helping with the fridge), my mom (for buying most of my food), my dad (for hooking up my appliances and fixing things), my friend Tom (for giving me many house warming presents), Traverse City Realty "Brenda" for neogiating and guiding my in the right direction, and Holly at Northwestern Mortgage for approving me for my mortgage loan. Also thanks to everyone who has helped me move.

Thats all for tonight...

2/25/08

Since I'll be living on my own, these posts maybe longer than normal - but I'm going to try and provide as much information so that my family and friends who dont see me as much can find out everything thats been happening in my life.

Photos are coming soon, I'm in the process of editing them and compiling them. There also maybe a short video along with the photos, but I'm unsure yet to add it.

I actually slept through the whole night, without any interruptions - that's a first. Upon having the chills all night long, I slept with all my clothes on - just to stay warm. I woke up sweating and right away took medicine after my morning coffee.

So far today is somewhat nice, no snow - just maybe a dusting overnight - I haven't been outside yet though, but its gray.

Charter has come to my house to install my HDTV Cable Box and high speed internet, after they leave - I'll test it out and then get ready and leave for work. I cant wait to watch Terminator tonight on my new 50" HDTV television. I got an amazing deal on this television at ABC Warehouse.

I cleaned my house a bit more last night and this morning - removing all the boxes downstairs, access bags and stuff organized, organized my filing cabinets, rearranged where my framed artwork should go "The Wooden Gallery" stuff.

The rest of my appliances should be delivered tomorrow and then I can call this place my home. I still need a bunch of things though: blinds, curtains, laundry basket, laundry deodorant, soaps, kitchen table, living room couch, rugs, and much more.

My parents and brother and really helped me move most of my things into my house this past weekend and I really appreciate everything they have done for me. We were able to move my computer desk, bed, dresser, furniture, filing cabinets, boxes, and all the other miscellaneous items.

This is enough for now, stay tuned for new information soon!

As I mentioned in the previous posts, that I'd be busy with moving and getting everything set with my new home. Its been a very busy weekend, but its been fun! On Friday, the closing happened about 10am and ended around 11am. Overall, in my opinion, there wasn't as many papers to sign as many people have told me - at least it didn't seem like a lot. There was an amount I had to give at closing, and when we were all finished, everyone including myself got a check - the seller, the sellers realtor, myself, and my realtor - I'm not sure if the mortgage company got anything though. Why did I get a check, well what happened was... there was an mistake with the calculations or something happened and I got about 60 back... not bad!

Northwestern Mortgage Company gave me house warming present filled with all types of goodies: sample coffee, flavored coffee spoon "mixer", pad of paper, coffee cup, a homeowners journal, white covered yogurt pretzels, sticky notes, a home key chain, and a letter opener.

I have photos to share and those will be coming soon...

I felt sick, when I came home from my parents house. On Friday, my dad was sick and was coughing without covering his mouth - :( . I told him to take medicine and I guess he did, but it sounded horrible. Thinking to myself... Please dont get sick and guess what I did, damn!

2/20/08

Another busy and productive day. I worked a total of 11 1/2 hours today, which helps make up for the days I'll be missing this week. An update every day this week, so far - I never thought, I would be able to do it. Tomorrow I have my pre-closing, where I'll be signing most of the paperwork, so when we have the closing on Friday, it wont be as long.

Last nights episode of "The Office", was very funny, and the episode of "10 Items or Less", well that's a bit of a different kind of comedy. That show is funny, but with a mixture of stupid funny - not everyone finds this funny.

2/19/08

Wow, I am feeling good - I have been able to concentrate on work for the last couple days so far, its a big surprise. All that will change come Thursday night thru the weekend. Tomorrow, I am supposed to have a meeting with one our clients, and this time - I am ready.

Maybe the reason, why I am feeling good - is due to everything that has happened to me this month: house hunting, old childhood friend visiting, interview with the record eagle, photo shoot with the record eagle, seller agreed to my house offering, and that my closing is at a certain time on Friday. Things like these don't happen to many 24 year olds, at least not in Traverse City. So far, everything is falling into place and in the right time period.

The Terminator show last night was another good episode and next weeks looks good too. I'll need to get Charter to install digital cable and high-speed internet, so I can watch the show come Monday, if not I'll have to go to my parents house and watch it - its just about 5 minutes away from my house.

Tonight, I'll be watching the Office and 10 Items or Less, which are 2 good shows that are shown on Tuesdays.

2/18/08

I got a lot of work done at work, catching up on all my emails has been tough, but I'm knocking them off 1 at a time. At 1:00pm, I was supposed to have a telephone conference with one our clients in Florida, but again "like many of them" - nothing happens.

This morning, I had the photo shoot with a photographer from the Record Eagle, who he was shooting me in front of my house. Well, the house is not mine yet, until Friday and then it'll be mine. They want to take additional photographs of me... moving in!

Today went by quickly, which is nice - because Friday is getting closer. Yes, I am excited, but I can't let that get in the way of the regular routines and side track me. After I move in and deal with everything with my house, I will then go back to the gym and do all the regular things I did, before looking at homes.

Tonight is a brand-new episode of the "Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles" - its a great program.

2/17/08

The days are counting down until my closing on my house, more information about this coming soon. Also, regarding the stuff about my house - I'll be featured in the Record Eagle with my photograph regarding "1st Time Home Buyers in today's Market". I had a telephone interview with the reporter last week, this is going to be fun!

Since a new week is arriving tomorrow, updates will be limited on my web site, unless I find some time to update. Tomorrow and for the rest of the week, I have many meetings, lots of work, and of course the closing on my house.

2/16/08

Yesterday, I woke up not feeling good, and today I am feeling the same way. I believe it's a mixture of things, but also a bug may be going around. I am taking my medicine, since this usually helps me quite a bit.

This morning, my mom and I went shopping again. We went to Kohl's and to Bed Bath & Beyond to purchase items for my house. The past 2 weekends, my mom and I have been going out shopping and gathering things for my new home. It's exciting, and wow things do cost a lot, depending on where you shop. We are buying the essential items, bathroom stuff, kitchen appliances, etc.

My closing is this friday 2/22/08, and I am getting very excited about it. Like I said in the previous post, there are going to be updates once a week or more (whenever I have extra time). Once I get all settled into my house, then I will be able to post more often.

2/15/08

Since my closing is a week away, I have been slacking on just about everything. After the closing, I believe everything will calm down and return back to normal.

At work, we have been really busy - many meetings, new clients. It's all good!

Updates made to my site, will become vacant for the next few weeks, because everything with my house, packing, moving, shopping. Once I get all settled in, then I'll be posting like crazy.

2/11/08

Today has been a very stressful day, and it all had to do with the housing stuff. After many phone calls and meetings, I was able to get most of it completed.

My friend Chris Boglev, went back home last night. It was nice to have him visit us again, we caught up again though. We as in all 5 of us went out for dinner at Applebees yesterday, and we had a good time - chatting and stuff. The 5 of us included: my mom, dad, brother "Brian", myself and Chris.

Earlier in the day, the 3 of us showed Chris the Grand Traverse Mall, as in he wanted to buy some clothes.

In other news, I have begun packing and getting ready for the day, that I move into my new house. Everyday I try to pack at least 2 boxes, so when the day arrives - I'm not rushing to pack.

Monday nights on Fox, the show "Terminator: the Sarah Conner Chronicles", is a very good show. If you're a fan of the "Terminator" movies, this is a show for you. Tonight's episode went by fast, as that is what it seemed like, because it was so action packed.

2/9/08

It has been a busy week with work, house hunting, meetings, photo shoots and other stuff. It has been very difficult to updating my web site for the last few days.

Actually my house hunting has come to an end, that's because I am now a new home owner. Yes, that's right - I'll be moving out of my parents house into my own 1st home. Also, my house is brand new and I got it for an amazing low price.

Last night I had a photo shoot at the Grand Traverse Resort out in williamsburg, Michigan. Around 9pm, I arrived and found the Michigan Ball Room, where our client "the DJ" was going to be. At the resort, there was a silent auction and in the ball room, was Disco Night with the DJ. Many people where dressed up in costumes, big afros, pshydaliec colors, go go boots, and everything else from the disco year. I stuck around for awhile and took many photographs, I also met up with another local photographer "John Amar", I believe John is one the resorts professionally hired photographers, we shook hands and talked a while.

My mom and I went shopping for my bathroom in my home. We purchased rugs, shower curtains, hooks, tooth brush holder, cups, towels, shower caddy, oven mitts, and a few other items. We shopped at Walmart and Target and wow what prices Walmart have compared to others - very affordable.

2/7/08

My childhood friend Chris Boglev came up again. He came back to help out the Jets Pizza branch at the Chums corner location. After he got off work, he called me and then came over. We hung out that night, I showed him my 1st new house, we ate at McDonalds, and then went to Family Video and rented the movie "Halloween" the newest one. We watched the movie and wow it was gross, blood, violence, language, nudity - overall it was a good movie and plus it was created by "Rob Zombie".

2/4/08

Today was interesting, lots of personal related phone calls, a phone conference at work (that never happened), a photo shoot (which went well). I got a lot done at work today, which was all good.

Tomorrow though, will be really exciting... CPA appointment in the morning, then more personal related items afterwards, then I'll be able to make it to work. I have worked many extra hours over last weekend, to make up for all the time I miss this week.

Tonight is a new episode the Terminator series, I can't wait. That's all for tonight.

2/3/08

Last night, we watched Scorcher on Sci-Fi, it was an alright movie, but nothing like the other better ones.

*Note: The calendar displayed on this page has been upgraded - it now allows you to search the previous months. Right now, it'll only show the current year and when its time for 2009, I may change it to allow more than 1 year.

Earlier today, my dad and I went out bowling. We both were having a rough day with bowling, myself I couldn't concentrate, because of everything on my mine (work, meetings, photo shoots, haircut, court date, real estate stuff, and addition work from The Wooden Gallery). Both of us couldn't get anything to go our way, we were trying different ways to throw the ball: trying different weights, positions, and techniques. My first game, I bowled a 94 and second game a 128. It just wasn't our day to shine.

When we arrived home, I started working and then the time passed, watched some television and ate some food. Good night all!

2/2/08

Today was sure an exciting one. In the afternoon, my mom and I went to another open house. This house was south of Chums Corner, but not too far from everything. We took the TomTom GPS device that I got from Christmas and used it to located this open house. TomTom actually for the first time, gave me the wrong direction. The location of this house, was in the opposite direction of what TomTom gave me - it happens. This neighborhood is a nice one, many newer homes and affordably priced. As we left, we drove to another area (that a previous realtor told us about) more south of Traverse City. We arrived to this area, drove around and decided "No", this is too far away and all the homes in this private residential community are in the higher price range. We left this area and headed back home.

Shortly after we arrived home, my mom, dad, and I went out for lunch at Agave on Garfield Road in Traverse City. We have to find a new Mexican restaurant, because of Rancho Grande closed down. My dishes were alright, but nothing compares to Rancho Grande. There is also another Mexican restaurant in town, that we'll have to try another day.

After lunch, at 3:30pm, we drove to another home, which I had scheduled with a realtor a few days ago. We arrived to this house and the outside was very nice. When we walked inside and walked around, wow... It was a mess, for being a newer home, the current owners will abused this house. There were cracks in the walls, dirty carpeting, incomplete areas of the house, a partial basement (what a waste). The realtor of this house, though was very nice and helpful. We were talking with Brenda Irish and decided to view another house (that we saw a year ago).

More information coming soon!

2/1/08

I have been really busy and haven't been able to update my web site. There was supposed to be a photo shoot scheduled for today with one of our clients, but they needed to re-schedule.

Last night, we watched "Live Free, Die Hard" and it was a great movie. There was lots of action, right from the beginning, which was nice.

Since another month has passed, that means... New photos! Only 2 galleries were updated and they include: January 2008 and Beni Kilander (January 2008).
