Yesterday, I took a break from the gym, but today I got back on schedule. We were supposed to get a big snow storm last night and then today, but we never got anything. The drive to work this morning, was okay, but when I got to the road where the office is located on... it was a sheet of ice and only ice.

 

I left work early today, but will make it up for tonight's work.

 

In other news, my friend Tom Auch is now working on his own web sites. Yes he is doing 2 of them, from the looks of it a graphic arts site and a tutorials site. When they become available, there will be links on my site.

 

11/28/07

Happy Birthday to myself, I turned 24 today at 1am. See the special navigation bar on top, simple... This theme for the navigation bar is to represent the type of cake I had for my birthday. It was a mint chocolate chip ice-cream cake from Cold Stone Creamy. It was fantastic!

 

My day was good, a client that I had a meeting with today was the only one (everyone in my family remembered) to remember my birthday. The client also treated me to a cup of coffee.

 

As presents that I got for my birthday included:

• lots of candy
• headphones
• blank dvds
• macbook accessory, gotta return though
• music cd NOW #26
• an ice cream cake, which was very good
• and money...

 

11/27/07

This morning, was a nasty drive to work. We had blizzard like conditions, 50mph winds, complete white-outs, snow, and icy roads. While listening to the radio, I heard there were many accidents, people driving into trees, sliding off road, hitting other people... come on people, slow down!!

 

This is my first year, with my AWD SUV, so I'll really see how it handles. I can make it up our driveway now, normally we'd have to get a running start (we have a steep driveway). Other people, actually get stuck coming down our driveway, that's bad - lol!

 

When I arrived to the office, the weather wasn't bad, just icy roads, and I saw blue sky.

 

11/26/07

I went back to the gym. Today was mainly the day to get warmed up. After work, I drove across town to the gym. There were lots of people at this time, it was about 5:15pm. This is the only time, I have during the day to work out. I don't want to work out in the morning, and I don't want to skip work just to work out, so going after work is perfect.

 

As my routine, I'll try to go everyday but Wednesday (and this Wednesday happens to be my birthday). Today at the gym, I worked on my arms, back, shoulders, and legs.

 

11/25/07

We have returned, and here is my story!

 

I didn't sleep much last night or this morning, my dad likes to snore and breath loudly. Unfortunately, I woke up at 6am and I was wide awake.

 

Now, we gotta start packing and get ready to leave soon. More information coming soon...

 

About an hour later, we began packing. As we went outside to pack the vehicle, it was dark, cold, and had frost on the windows. Upon leaving our grandmas house, we stopped at Krispy Kream. We purchased 1 dozen of glazed donuts, 1 snowman shaped as a donut, 1 coffee and 2 pints of milk.

 

We are now on the highway I-75 and heading back home to Traverse City, Michigan. More updates as the time progresses...

 

After more hours pass and I took a nap, we are getting closer to Grayling, Michigan. We are planning to stop for a snack and bathroom break at Burger King. As soon as we leave McDonalds, we'll head further and close to home. There is more snow in Grayling, but not much on the roads, but closer we get to TC, we might see more! More updates as we get closer home...

 

We arrived home and unpacked, then I took a shower and went out shopping, and that's my day!

11/24/07

This morning, my grandma, mom, and I went shopping. We went to a camera shop, but when we arrived to it, they had closed their doors and went out of business. I was disappointed, but after that we stopped to Dicks Sporting Goods, where I was able to purchase myself a set of weight lifting gloves. The next thing I need to buy is a new gym bag. I will purchase this, when we return back home tomorrow.

 

Its been more than 8 years, since Chris Boglev and I saw each other. We grew up together back in Warren, Michigan and went to school together and lived near each other until we moved away. The communication between Chris and I quickly vanished (but this also happened with our other friends). In the last 12 months, I have been trying to find my ol' childhood friends, but some are just really hard to get a hold of.

  • it was difficult, but we have been chatting with each other for a few times on Instant Messenger, then started talking on the phone, and now we finally met up again. Even though we met up, it was hard to strike up a conversation, because of the many years, we were apart prior to seeing each other today.

  • I called his house and lucky enough for me, I was able to talk with his mom Linda, and then she gave me his cell phone number. We also met up again, since I saw him a few weeks ago.

11/23/07

At about 8am we left our home in Traverse City, Michigan and arrived to our grandmas place in Sterling Heights, Michigan at about 12 noon. When we left, the roads were very icy, the anti-lock brakes kicked in at about every stop we made. We stopped in Kalkaska, Michigan for breakfast at McDonalds - but instead of stopping and eating there, we took it to go. When we arrived to I-75, there wasn't much traffic to begin with, but as we made it to the bigger cities there was more. I slept for a little bit, my brother slept the whole time and so did my dad. Our cat Beni, was being very talkative and almost like crying. We got quite for a while, which was good.

 

We stayed at our grandmas house for most of the time today, and didn't go to any of the stores to shop. We had left-over from yesterdays dinner, which turned into another Thanksgiving meal, but with our grandma (my mom's mom).

 

11/22/07

Happy Thanksgiving!! Today was a nice break from working, all I did was take some photos, play Command and Conquer on my computer, watch television, and then eat Thanksgiving dinner with my family. Later that night, I started to pack for our trip downstate in the morning.

 

11/21/07

I had a photo shoot at Fit For You, a client of SWS. The shoot went well, and as I began to leave - I decided to sign-up for a years membership. So, next week come Monday, I plan to go to the gym again. I can't go tomorrow, because of the holiday and the rest of the weekend, I'll be out of town.

 

My boss Steve told me that I could take friend with me to Rancho Grande for dinner, so I took him up on his offer. Instead of asking Tom to go with me, I asked Michael DesForges, who is a close friend and also my client. Afterwards, I tried calling Tom Auch, but he was too busy at the time. Later that night, after work - myself and Mike went out for dinner. It went good, and maybe next time the three of us can go out - Tom, Mike, and I.

I have been really busy with work, last night Monday 11/19/07 I worked from 9am until 3am. I then went to work at 12 o'clock noon until 5pm today.

I have been extremely busy for the whole week. Even when I come home from work, I am working. We have got many new web sites created and a few can be seen in my portfolio.

 

There will be a new section coming soon (as soon as I have some free time) within the SWS Designs, it'll contain screen-shots of before & after's.

I have been working hard for the few days. On Saturday and Sunday, I worked continuously on The Wooden Gallery and now it's all up to date. On Sunday, my brother Brian returned back from his trip to Colorado. Monday night, I have been editing video (that Tom converted for me from the clients disc). To make the videos web ready, there is a 5 step process...

 

11/12/07

Today sure has been a busy day for me. I woke up this morning and took my Nissan Murano to the service center. Everything went good, just have been noticing an rattling noise on the driver side door. Fixed without charge, that's good!

 

When I arrived to work, did the usual: check email, visit the regular sites, and then began working. Towards lunch hour, I went to NMC to visit my buddy Tom Auch. Tom had a disc to give me for a client for work. Thanks Tom!

 

11/8/07

Arriving back home tonight, my friend Tom Auch and I went to the movies and had a snack afterwards. We saw the movie "Dan in Real Life" in my opinion, it wasn't that great. It was more of like a chick flick, I am surprised because of the 2 big actors in it "Steve Carell and Dane Cook" whom these guys are always in funny movies. Tom and I caught up and talked which is always good. After the movie, we went to Jonathan's Pub, which is located at the Grand Traverse Mall. We ordered breaded mushrooms, which were great and yummy!

 

Please be patient... many users have pointed out the personal gallery is taking sometime to load. I am aware of this issue and am working on a solution. I'm always on the lookout for a better gallery, but haven't found one yet.

I have very busy the last few days. So busy I couldn't update my web site. I've been working on a huge project that has taken almost 1 year to finish. It's going to be a great project when completed.

Did you remember to turn your clocks back 1 hour (residents of Michigan)? Also, in the news - I was reading that certain computer applications are going to have a problem switching time and mine was on the list - but it changed the time just fine.

 

There has been a change when showing the Current Projects which are shown on the left side. The ones that are at 100% will not be shown on the home page, but can be found within my portfolio.

 

Do you like the new theme?

 

Are you surprised to notice that my site version hasn't changed yet? It's been version 8.0, since I first released it. This version of my site is perfect for me, so it's very hard for me to change it. Changing the site theme, is very simple which only requires me to change the navigation.

Every time when I don't have a new theme, this default theme will appear. Today is mainly an update day, which you can see what's been added and/or changed below.

 

In other news, my birthday is coming up quick and that is on November 28th and I'll be turning 24.

 

When I was downstate back in home town (a few days ago), I stopped by an old friends house (and he happened to be home), whom my brother and I had grown up with since the age of about 4 years old. Here a photograph of us together after we haven't seen each other in more than 6 years. My brother Brian, wasn't with me when I visited JT, so he's not shown in the photograph below.

 

We caught up with each other, and shared what we have experienced since the last time we met. I almost didn't recognize JT, because of his big head of hair. Now, just to get a photograph of my other friend Chris Boglev, whom is always hard to get a hold of.
