Happy Halloween, it has begun raining here unfortunately. Back when we as kids went trick-or-treating we knew to visit houses with lights on, but now a days kids go to every single house with or without lights on, this is very annoying.
I have been away at my grandpas funeral. he was born March 7, 1926 and died October 26, 2007.
Tomorrow is back to work.

This morning we had at least on my vehicle heavy frost. I had to turn the defrosters on high to melt it. We had a meeting today with another client which went well.
The weather today turned out to be a nice day, mostly sunny while being cool.
After work, I stopped to The Wooden Gallery and picked up my 20x30 framed print (photograph coming soon).
When I arrived home, my brother Brian and I went to the video store and rented "Planet Terror" and "Meet the Robinson's". Planet Terror is actually a good movie, but I'll watch the other tomorrow.

Its been raining just about all day and cold. At work today, we had a meeting, which didn't go as planned - but we survived. One of my clients who has been with me for a while has decided to go with the services that SWS has to offer. We re-designed his site, which is defiantly a big change from the current one.

This morning, I took my 2007 Nissan Murano in for an oil change and tire rotation and also to get my brakes looked at. I was noticing a squeak, when I applied the brakes in the mornings. Nissan also sent me a 100 point complimentary inspection, which the results came back perfect. It took about 2 hours, but I wasn't in a rush. The Nissan service department has free Wi-Fi for customers who are waiting for their vehicle - so I used it!

Yesterday, my mom and I went on a road trip to Beulah and Frankfort, Michigan. At first, we got lunch at Clancy's Kitchen in Interlochen, Michigan. I got the chicken strips and my mom got the fish and chips.
We then headed toward Beulah, Michigan. The weather was beautiful, sunny and actually warm with clean skies and lots of colorful scenery. It took about 20 to 25 minutes form Interlochen to get to Beulah. We decided to go though downtown Beulah and head towards the water. We stopped at a few places by the water and I got out and took some pictures.
Upon leaving downtown Beulah, we headed up the hill and towards a bike trail. At the trail, its paved and very nice. There are stops along the way, to view the beautiful landscapes that includes water, swamps and lots of color "fall season". We walked more than 2 or 3 miles and then left.
We went back the way we came and stopped to a store called "Bedazzled". This store creates and sells a big variety of soaps, herbs, honey, and miscellaneous items. It sure smells good in there (sorry, but no photograph available)!
After "Bedazzled", we went back towards Beulah and then traveled to Frankfort, Michigan. We arrived and stopped by the water of Lake Michigan.
After Frankfort, we headed back home - it sure has been fun.

Nothing much happening today, but the same stuff. I had a busy day at work and had a rough conversation with a client. Its been raining for most of the day.

We had rain overnight and by during the day it became sunny and warm. Odd weather for October, then later in the night we got a storm. The sky was dark, but darker than normal - scary weather. Some locations around Michigan were in tornado watches and we were in a tornado warning.

I attended a meeting with my boss Steve today and it went good, we got a new client. Not actually a new client, because this is a client that is currently one of mine. Small Business Books is the name of the client, but now they are with SWS whom I work for.
Steve treated me to lunch afterwards, we ate at "Clancy's Kitchen" and they are located in Interlochen, Michigan. I got chicken strips with home made fries, while Steve got an omelet - and it sure was good!
After work, I went out and took some photographs since we had a nice and sunny day.

More rain we received today and supposed to get more all week, what a bummer. I rented 2 movies and watched both of them earlier "Evan Almighty" & "Fantastic Four: Silver Surfer" - both of them were good!

Change of weather again, cold and rainy. Today was a good day at work, got 2 web sites finished, and soon to finish another one tomorrow.
On Monday nights, From 8:00pm until 10:00pm, I watch the usual television shows: How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, 2 1/2 Men, and Rules of Engagement.

We had more sun and it was actually warmer today. This morning I went on another road trip but in a different area. My trip started off close to our house on the east side of Silver Lake at the boat launch. Then I traveled to the other side of the lake "West Silver Lake" and continued to travel west towards Long Lake. I started to go further west, but decided to turn around, due to the weather.

We had lots of sun today even though it was on the chilly side, it felt good. In the morning, I went to the bank, got some gasoline (paid $2.85), then went to The Wooden Gallery. After the Wooden Gallery, I went on a photographic road trip through Leelanau county in Northern Michigan. Not much color though, but lots of farm land and open fields.
For lunch, the family and I went to the House of Doggs. After lunch, my dad and I went golfing at The Crown in Traverse City, Michigan.

There hasn't been much news for the last couple days, but the weather today got better. It rained again in the morning hours, but sometime through-out the day it became sunny. It's still cold outside though, just a little chilly.

Its been chilly today, finally a break from the heat streak. We got some rain over night, then it became sunny in the morning, and towards 3:30pm it got cloudy and looked like a storm was coming. For exciting news today, I got promoted to a higher job position at work - "Senior Web Master".

We had another business meeting on the golf course today. Before I went to work, I was able to finally get a hair cut - it looks good too. We had a tee-time at 1:30pm today, I played with: Steve, Dan, and Mark (new client). Overall, I did good - but because of the extreme heat and hurricane like winds, my ball didn't go in the right direction. We had fun though, it beats working! Also, I had a photo shoot today in Maple City, Michigan - it went good.
For the longest time, I was able to talk with an ol' childhood friend today "Chris Boglev", we've been playing phone tag and finally I was able to talk with him without rushing.

This morning, I called "Burrones" and again they are closed, hopefully I can get my hair cut on monday. My brother and I went to Pirates Cove (which is located by the bay in Traverse City, Michigan) today to play putt putt, we played the more difficult course. We thought the temperature was hot yesterday, but its worse today. It's actually too humid to be outside, make sure to drink lots of water!
The family and I went to get donuts and cider, but the place we usually go to is permanently closed - that's a bummer! We must find another place to go to.
Michael Desforges owner of The Wooden Gallery, him and I had planned to go on a photo shoot this evening of kayakers going into the sunset, but those plans have been cancelled. The shoot was cancelled due to the kayakers had other plans and we must re-schedule.

I woke up early this morning, hoping to get myself a hair cut this morning. I leave the house and drive downtown to "Burrones" upon arrival - there was a sign in the window "Sorry we are closed" - what?? They are never closed on Saturdays, I hope they are open sunday, because I need one - and they are the most affordable in town.
Since I was on the road and had all my camera equipment with me, so I decided to go on a road trip. Driving in Northern Michigan, I stopped and visited many of the boat launches, city of Leland, city of Northport, and city of Suttons Bay, Michigan.

When a current project is removed from the left side, it can still be viewed in my portfolio.
The most current project labeled as "DRUSH", is actually our first international client, they are located in Canada. The client approved the design today (on the first try), which is a great accomplishment for us - makes us proud of the work we provide. The client told Steve (my boss) "Matt, did an awesome job!"

Today, I went to a meeting with a new client of SWS, and then had a photo shoot following that meeting. That was a beautiful house that we went to today. I also got my SWS clothing today - 3 shirts with my name on it and a company jacket.

I watched the season finale of Eureka, and it was a great episode. I'm looking forward to next season, as I'm sure they will create another. Criss Angel Mindfreak on the other hand was a re-run, that's a bummer.

Today has been busy, driving a lot more than 70 miles today. Delivered and hooked up a computer for a client. Purchase a headset for my cell phone, and I love it! The weather today was crappy, cloudy and rainy - but fair temperature.
